El Día De Los Niños
Date: Saturday, April 25, 2009
Time: 1 pm to 5 pm
Place: Aurora Transportation Center Parking Lot, corner of Spring St. and Lincoln Ave.
In recognition of the cultural importance of children and families,
the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board hosts an annual event
known as El Día de los Niños, or Day of the Children. Since 2001,
el Día de los Niños has been a very special holiday celebrated throughout
Latin America where families, schools and communities come together
to value and uplift the children in the community. This AHHAB event
includes food vendors, a variety of fun-filled and educational
activities (including children's rides and booths from community
resource businesses and vendors), entertainers (including clowns
and mascots) and main stage entertainment that is appropriate for
all ages.
